3*River Kwai Jungle Rafts isn’t your typical hotel – it’s a floating hideaway deep in the jungle, where the river flows beneath your feet and nature wraps around you completely. There’s just bamboo rooms with whitewashed walls, mosquito nets, and private decks with hammocks and loungers. At night, kerosene lamps cast a soft flickering light, and the only sound is the water moving gently past your raft. You can jump straight from your terrace into the river, float with the current, and climb back up using the wooden ladder. Meals are served in a floating restauran – simple Thai or Western dishes, sometimes buffet-style, always by lantern light or under the stars. Mornings might include feeding an elephant on the riverbank or walking up to the nearby Mon village. Breakfast and dinner included.
